La despedida de Veronika

Veronika no ha podido tener mejor detalle que venir a verme justo antes de irse.
Después de un año en USA, la próxima semana deja finalmente el país para emprender una nueva aventura en París pero no sin antes visitar su país natal, Áustria, y pasar unos merecidos días con su familia.
Se cogió un avión el jueves por la mañana en Burbank, Los Ángeles para pasar el día conmigo.
Sólo un día, pero muy intenso.
Un día en el que el clima nos ha acompañado en todo momento, a pesar de los malos pronósticos y en el que hemos tenido la oportunidad de hacer balance de todo este año que hemos dejado atrás, nuestra evolución, nuestras opiniones sobre la cultura americana. Es agradable poder encontrar a alguien que te entiende perfectamente cuando comentas indignada o simplemente sorprendida algunos de los comportamientos o costumbres que hemos vivido aquí. Alguien con quien sentirme identificada.
Su visita ha sido de gran importancia para mí. Como una corriente de aire fresco en estos días de tanta indiferencia.

Veronika couldn't have a better way to celebrate her going away that coming to visit me. After a year in US, next week she finally will leave the country and begin a new adventure in Paris . But before that, she's going to visit her family in Austria.
She took the plane from Burbank, LA to come to visit me for just one day, but a very intense day.
We've had such a beautiful day (she said better than in LA), in spite of the bad forecast that we had checked during the week.
We had also the chance to make balance of all this year that we have left behind, our evolution, to share our opinion of the American culture. It's great to find someone that understands you perfectly when you are indignant or just surprised for the behaviors or customs that we have lived here. Someone I can identify with.
Her visit has been very important for me. Like a light fresh air in these days of so many indifference.
