Cosas que empiezan a funcionar

1. Mi ventana
Pocas cosas hay tan extrañas como levantarse un día escuchando que alguien llama a tu ventana, especialmente cuando vives en un tercer piso de una calle muy transitada.
Y si además resulta que es un hombre más mayor que tu padre y que te pide el teléfono para invitarte a cenar, es cuando piensas que mejor no haberte levantado...


2. Internet
Gracias a la paciencia de Greg, y tras una semana esperando a tener conexión, ya tenemos internet en casa. Esta es una de las muchas otras ventajas que tiene vivir con hombres...



3. Mi chimenea
Que por culpa de este otoño tan extraño que azota a la ciudad, tuvimos que comprobar que funcionaba cuando ya rozamos los 10ºC. Por cierto la foto es de mi habitación.



Y sí, hoy es 11 de septiembre (5º aniversario de aquella gran tragedia) y apenas me he enterado, si no fuera por la ausencia de e-mails recibidos desde mi ciudad natal, por ser la "fiesta nacional" catalana. Puedo corroborar que no ha cundido el pánico entre los habitantes de esta ciudad.

Things that start to work out:

1. My window: There are just a few things weirder than to wake up in the morning with the knocking of a man who's three floors up, trying to fix your window. And when the man is older than your father and asks your cellphone to invite you to have some dinner, then is the moment that you decide that may be it was better to stay in bed...

2. Internet: Thanks to Greg's patience and after a week waiting for the connection, we finally have internet at home.

3. My fireplace: Because this autumn is being strange, we had to check how it worked when we arrived almost to the 50ºF.
