Succionada por el ordenador

Esa soy yo, una mujer pegada a su ordenador.
Una de las cosas que más me sorprendieron cuando llegué aquí, es la edad de mis profesores de software como Photoshop o Illustrator, ninguno baja de los 60 años... Curioso ¿no? En España nunca tuve un profesor de diseño mayor de 40...
Sin duda alguna, el profesor que más me ha impresionado es Bert Monroy (podéis chequear su web, en la que no hay una sola imagen escaneada, todo pura pintura digital), es probablemente la persona que más admiro en estos momentos, por su talento y por su genialidad. He tenido 3 intensivísimas clases (de 7 horas cada una) en las que nos ha enseñado cosas que yo no sabía ni que existían, lo cual me da mucha esperanza para seguir adelante con mis proyectos. Con tiempo y dedicación, todo es posible con Photoshop.
Él empezó con 35 años, y es una de las personas que ha creado Photoshop, gracias a él hoy podemos usar 3 de sus pinceles y cambiar nuestra visión sobre la fotografía digital.
Y yo me pregunto, ¿qué será de mí entonces dentro de 20 años?.
Sólo por haber conocido a Bert, ha valido la pena venir a San Francisco.

When I first arrived here, one of the things that more impressed me was the fact that all my software teachers weren't younger than 60 years old. That's curious because in Spain I've never had a Design teacher older than 40.
But my best teacher ever has been, without any doubt, Bert Monroy (you can check his website, he never used a scanned image, everything is created by himself), and he's the person who I admire most right now for his talent. I've just had 3 super intensive class (7 hours each) where I could learn and see things that I even didn't know they could exist, which it makes me keep going ahead with my projects. Everything is possible with Photoshop. He started with 35 years old and he's been one of the persons who actually created Photoshop and colaborated with Adobe to creat new tools. Digital designers we have a lot of things to thank him.
And I'm wondering, how it will be with me in the next 20 years?
Just because meeting Bert, has been worth it to come to San Francisco.
