¿Y tú votas?

Los ciudadanos de EEUU han sido llamados a votar.
California no es que sea uno de los Estados donde mas importancia le den a este asunto. Aquí la gente se dedica a hacer películas, surfear, fumar porros y criticar a los republicanos por norma. Ahora sí, cuando se trata de votar, la gente encuentra siempre mejores cosas que hacer (algo parecido pasa desgraciadamente en mi país, donde la gente se acoge a la ley de la libre expresión opinando y criticando sin tomar parte legal en el asunto).
Yo, sin embargo, no he podido votar en estas elecciones y no por falta de ganas.
Por otra parte, me parece gracioso que la gente, para promover el hecho de ir a votar, se coloca estas divertidas pegatinas en la solapa de la chaqueta y van todo orgullosos por las calles proclamando al mundo entero que ellos votaron.
Yo sigo pensando que, en un país donde las tomas de decisiones son practicamente una imposicion para el resto del planeta, debería obligar a sus ciudadanos a tomar cartas en el asunto. Sea dicho...

US citizens have been called to vote.
California is not one of those States worried about this stuff. Here people is happy making movies, surfing, smoking weed and talking shit about republicans. But when they have to go to vote, they always find something more interesting to do (unfortunately, something similar happens in my country where people feel free to express theirselves without being really involved).
I couldn't vote, and not because I didn't wanted it.
It's funny how people wear those sticks to promote the fact that they voted. They look so proud showing the world that they already did it...
I keep thinking though, that in a country where the decissions are mostly like an imposition for the rest of the planet, it should obligate their citizens to be a part of this.
